As we go through our daily lives, we can get too much exposure to non-natural light throughout the day. This high amount of artificial light can contribute to mid-day fatigue, restlessness at night, and overall poor energy levels. The non-natural light can come from your smartphone, computer monitor, television, harsh overhead lights, and LEDs in general. These harsh light sources turn up the effects of certain parts of the light spectrum that can negatively affect our body's natural rhythms. This high exposure of junk light at the wrong time of the day can make it hard to fall asleep or stay asleep at night. It has been shown that lack of good sleep can make mental and physical well-being harder to maintain.

To maintain superior performance and overall wellbeing it is essential to get a good night's rest.

Junk light over-exposure can affect the body's restfulness processes - disrupting melatonin production, skewing our internal rhythms, and making it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. This harmful light can also affect the retina which contributes to mental and physical fatigue.

Junk light may have a hand in various health conditions, shown below:

  • Eye fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Memory loss in the short-term
  • Lessened melatonin production (leading to sleep problems)
  • Lessened cortisol production (can cause increased stress and anxiety)
  • SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and Depression
  • Weakened immune system/endocrine disturbance
  • Menstrual cycle/female hormonal changes
  • Weight problems

These glasses are crafted for daytime use. There are many benefits to wearing these glasses throughout the day:

  • Protect the body from junk light exposure (electronic screens, LEDs, harsh overhead lights)
  • Lesson eye strain while performing everyday tasks
  • Allow for a better sleep
  • Keep your body's daytime / nighttime rhythms synced up

The Daylights help to ensure that the correct amount of good light is absorbed throughout the day (and keeps the junk light out). Say goodbye to artificial light and hello to increased energy, alertness, and a better night's rest.

Traditional blue blockers block 100% or blue light. For optimal performance and physical wellbeing, the body does actually require some blue light (from the right sources). Therefore, wearing glasses that don't allow absorption or some blue light can cause the body to be aware that it is daytime and be slow, distracted, and sleepy. TrueDark® Daylights have been scientifically designed to just show the right amount of blue light while keeping out all the rest of the junk light. This makes it so that the body stays alert and avoids the negative effects of too much blue light as well.

TrueDark® patented Twilights glasses have been curated to filter out all of the light spectrums that will keep you from having a great night's sleep. These glasses, backed by over 10 years of research tell your body that you are and compassed by darkness (even though you can still see, read, watch television, etc.). This recognition of darkness puts your body into a mode of relaxation and melatonin production which allows you to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Since the Twilights glasses block out blue, green, and purple light (spectrum that negatively affects sleep), your body is safe to fall into its natural nighttime rhythm. Wearing TrueDark® Twilights for 30 or more minutes before bedtime will allow your body optimal time to get into alpha state and get to sleep with ease.

If you are someone who has a tough time getting enough sleep at night you can be susceptible to many health problems. The problems can include: degeneration of vision, cancers, premature aging, diabetes, stroke, unwanted weight gain / obesity, degenerative neurological diseases, and autoimmune / gastric conditions. TrueDark® Twilights and #StopJunkLight technology boost your body's natural processes and help you to:

Get more high quality sleep - Common / traditional blue blockers do not include technology that blocks the wavelengths that negatively impact sleep.

Release more melatonin which means lessening brain inflammation.

Stay on track with weight loss. Increased darkness from the Twilights glasses move leptin (hormone that signals brain to have much fat storage we have) to a track that is associated with decreased hunger.

Daylights can help to regularize the body's natural rhythms during the day. This allows you to get results such as:

Better sleep
Mental clarity and alertness
Increased energy levels
Lesser inflammation of the brain
Mood enhancement

Twilights glasses can be added to your nighttime routine to help with:

Reducing stress / anxiety
SAD (seasonal affective disorder)
Lessening endocrine disruption
Improving immune system functions
Weight regulation

Using the Daylights and Twilights at optimal times in the day has been shown to regular the body's natural rhythms - allowing for optimal daily performance, increased energy / alertness, as well as overall feelings of wellbeing.

Examining the market, TrueDark® realized that there were plenty of daytime blue light blocking glasses, but no glasses that would also block green and violet spectrums. All of these other colors interfere with the body's sleep and restfulness processes. Therefore, the Twilights glasses were created as the ultimate sleep hack. These glasses block approximately 90% of the above-mentioned spectrum colors (wavelengths below 570 nm).

It is important to note that the clear Daylights glasses will filter about 40% or junk light (wavelengths or 370nm to 500nm). There are also the yellow lens Daylights which filter about 75% or junk light (wavelengths or 370nm to 500nm). These percentages are ideal because the body still needs some blue light throughout the day. The small amount of blue light allows balance between energy levels during the day (alert) and at night (restful).

Photobiomodulation Therapy (LED) devices are used for many dermatology purposes, as well as to relax muscles, and repair/recover damaged tissues. TrueLight products can be used for the above mentioned by providing optimal Near Infrared, Deep Red, Red, and Yellow/Amber wavelengths. These wavelengths have been shown to react with cellular organelles which increase ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production. This increase in ATP can show quicker collagen, vascular, DNA, and RNA production. Increased production of these body components is important in relation to healing and overall wellbeing. TrueLight Light Therapy may also improve blood circulation, the appearance of wrinkles/fine lines/redness, and reduce pain and inflammation/irritation.
